Tom Fitzsimmons joined Lorig's management team as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in December 2007. In this newly created role, Tom is charged with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Company and providing overall administrative, operational and executive leadership on behalf of the partners. Before joining Lorig, Tom served as Chief of Staff for both current Governor Christine Gregoire and former Governor Gary Locke. Tom brings 27 years of executive management experience in local and state government to his role at Lorig. He has served as Director of the Washington State Department of Ecology, where he managed more than 1,500 employees and a $650 million biennial budget, County Administrator for Thurston County and as an Assistant to the King County Executive. Tom has also owned and managed his own consulting firm. Tom's role in Lorig and his past experience are critical to ensuring that Lorig projects are exceptionally managed and meet or exceed all expectations of the investors, owners, and communities.

George has worked at Lorig for more than twenty years, providing perspective and essential expertise to both project and property management and the property management divisions of Lorig. He enjoys the challenge of preserving the past and constructing buildings that are cost-effective to maintain and operate. His work ranges from advising on the design of new projects to negotiating with subcontractors on fiber optic networks.

Sheryl was promoted to Principal and CFO in 2006 after several years as controller. She joined Lorig from Bank of America, where she worked in the Commercial Real Estate Division as an assistant account manager. She has a unique balance of accounting and real estate banking experience that is an asset to Lorig and their project partners. She currently serves on the board of Metrocenter YMCA.

Joe joined Lorig Associates as a Senior Project Manager in 2006. He has worked for over 25 years in Real Estate Consulting, Development and Construction Management. He is currently leading both the Eastlake Lofts mixed-use project in Seattle's Eastlake neighborhood, and the Lawrence Lofts mixed-use development on Seattle's East Madison Street. He has served for the last 10 years as the Senior Project Manager and Vice President of Val Thomas Inc. and its affiliated companies where he was responsible for the development and management of many mixed-use projects in the Seattle area. Joe also served as the Executive Director of Threshold Housing, a Seattle area non-profit provider of affordable and workforce housing. Joe has also served as a Real Estate Consultant specializing in land acquisitions for both the Catholic Archdiocese and King County Parks.

Michael has joined us recently as the Director of Property Management for our residential and commercial portfolios.  Previously, he served as the Vice President of Operations for CarrAmerica, overseeing the operational and financial performance of three-million square feet of commercial property in Washington and Oregon.   With twenty years of experience in property management, leasing, acquisition due diligence, and contract management, Michael brings a diverse skill set with him to Lorig.
