Green Lake Village

Project

This full-block site is a unique property owned by the same family that owned and operated the Vitamilk Dairy business there for over 60 years. After the dairy closed in 2003, the family sought to create a new legacy for the property and hired Lorig Associates to manage the design and development of a large mixed-use project, recently named Green Lake Village. The family is closely involved in the project and will retain long-term ownership of the property after completion.

Green Lake Village will include approximately 300 apartments in five stories over 50,000sf of retail space, anchored by PCC Natural Markets, and an underground parking garage. The project will feature public spaces and a pedestrian-focused design. In addition to the endless outdoor activities available around Green Lake, the site is also centrally located in the Greenlake neighborhood's commercial core. Future residents of Green Lake Village will have access to restaurants, shops, recreation and services both on-site and within walking distance.

Features

  • The site is ideally located one block from Green Lake, with easy access to I-5 and Hwy 99.
  • The development will create a mid-block pedestrian connection between Woodlawn Ave NE and 5th Ave NE.
  • Residential amenities will include community rooms, bike storage, and an outdoor terrace.
  • Floorplans will include studio, 1 bedroom, and 2 bedroom apartments.
  • The commercial space will include anchor tenant PCC Natural Markets along with restaurants and other retailers.

Location

The project is located at the corner of Woodlawn Ave NE and NE 71st St in the Greenlake neighborhood of Seattle, WA.

Milestones

  • Green Lake Village is currently in the design and permit process.
