Student Center at Seattle University Case Study

Development Goal

To create additional housing for undergraduate and graduate students in an off-campus setting.

Project

  • Collegiate Development of an apartment-style residence hall complex for 460 students and community assistants, including:
    • Eight buildings surrounding landscaped courtyards with terraced steps and a natural pond

    • Living spaces consisting of studios, two- and four-bedroom flats, plus townhouse units

    • Shared spaces include underground parking, an exercise facility and a community center


    • Vibrant colors abound, both inside and outside of each building


  • Students moved in to the completed project in the summer of 2003.

  • Project programming combines elements of undergraduate living with the amenities normally found in an apartment complex
